A statement piece for your space.
Rooted in the rich legacy of Gond tribal traditions, Vanvasi is a tribute to the harmony and sacred balance of nature. This artwork reimagines Mother Nature as a single nurturing force — a fusion of tree, animal, and human spirit — sheltering all life under her embrace.
Finer details: Notice the tree at the center, symbolic of life and abundance, with its branches bearing fruits and shade. On either side dwell both herbivore and carnivore: a pale blue elephant stitched with intricate white patterns, and a mythical carnivore — part lion, part tiger, part monkey — boldly colored in ochres and greens. Their peaceful coexistence under the same canopy reflects the Gond belief in universal interconnectedness and balance.
Each thread, bird, and vine sings the story of forest life, echoing the tribe’s reverence for animals, flora, and their symbiotic bond with the human soul.
